Donna Hegdahl - President and CEO

Donna Hegdahl is founder and CEO of The TransSynergy Group, a company she founded in 1995.  

Our goal is to help companies and organizations get their message to the marketplace and grow. The plan needs to be compelling and cost-effective. Most of all, it must get results!

Our specialties include marketing, consulting, PR, messaging, lead generation, social media, plans for growth, business planning and management.

Business trade associations (non-profit organizations) need a team to manage the back-office operations like board relations, strategic planning, membership management, websites, event management, accounting, finance, education and more.

We have helped hundreds of companies and organizations successfully get their message to the marketplace and grow. 

Hegdahl’s expertise includes all aspects of strategic and tactical marketing and communications.  Her personal experience included being  part of successful, rapid-growth hardware and software development companies. 

Hegdahl has more than 30 years experience in marketing, management, and customer service.  Hegdahl was vice president at Micronyx, a Richardson-based software company.  Ultimately, the company was sold to PC utility specialists, Fifth Generation Systems, and then merged with Symantec’s Peter Norton Group.  She was also instrumental in the marketing success of Comtrol, a Minnesota-based hardware manufacturer, named to Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing high-tech firms in 1986 and 1987. 

Hegdahl is active in the local business community including Women’s Business Council-Southwest, Women Presidents’ Organization and internationally with the International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners with clients in Europe, Asia and all over the Americas. Hegdahl is a frequent speaker and presenter at industry gatherings.  In her spare time, Donna runs and does yoga.

Jeff Baker

Jeff Baker has the ability to lead cross functional teams and has strong financial and data analytical skills.  He is a strategic thinker with a broad knowledge of the communications industry. He has a BS degree in Marketing from the Ohio State University.

Jeff worked for Verizon/GTE for over 30 years.  From those years of experience, Jeff brings diverse knowledge in finance, marketing, sales, customer experience and performance assurance.  His breadth of finance and performance assurance expertise is based on 15 years in various budgeting, regulatory and performance assurance roles that include the development of customer experience metrics, driver analysis, and scorecards, as well as sales channel metrics and analysis.  Jeff is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certified and served as a team lead for merger finance support and finance process improvement at the time of the Verizon acquisition.

His marketing roles include serving as a marketing/channel liaison and sales incentive and spurt strategy design and call center operations, desktop systems/tools support and overall performance management.


Donna Trowbridge
Donna Trowbridge’s organizational acumen and consistent follow-up make her the perfect resource to manage associations run by volunteer boards. She helps clients with virtually all type of project management, operations, marketing or technology implementation. As a trusted TransSynergy employee for more than 10 years, Donna remains on our virtual team to manage associations, organize remote board meetings, run conventions and other face-to-face engagements.

Donna has a diverse background, including serving as administrator for a number of non-profit business associations, running IT operations for an investment banking firm, working sales and customer relations for leading circuit board manufacturers, working with the U.S. Department of Navy, plus numerous marketing projects. Her favorite pastimes are family gatherings, golf and traveling.

Lea Duvel

Lea’s attention to detail makes her a perfect resource for projects that have to be done right. She manages customer updates, announcements, governance, presentations and more.

Her past experience in business and human resources gives her perspective to make decisions quickly and accurately.  

Lea spent 10 years as the business Manager at Northwood University.

Lea holds an MBA in Management from Texas Woman’s University and a BBA in Personnel Management and Organizational Behavior from the University of North Texas.

Lea spends her spare time with her husband, three sons and daughter.

Melinda Yium
Melinda brings 25+ years of experience in event management and strategic planning. She’s a perfect fit for our team and brings hands-on expertise to every client. With a BA in English lit, we know she will edit marketing communications for clients and quickly determine the right list and the right tools. She quickly understands new technology and steps into every project with gusto!
Amy Nixon

Amy has years of experience in Human Resources, and she brings enthusiasm and experience to every project she undertakes. Amy has worked with multiple clients at TransSynergy, helping confirm details and updating reports. She has finance experience and hands-on expertise in follow-ups, on time and on budget. Amy has a BA in Business from the University of Mississippi and was active in Pi Beta Phi Kappa.

Lee Ann Stanford

Lee Ann brings years of business experience to the team. For 14 years she was President and CEO of a local printing company. In addition to her business acumen, years of focus on customer service means she delivers excellent support to clients – an important emphasis at TransSynergy. She provides diverse skills including retail experience in upscale furniture and home décor.

Lee Ann joined the team to manage nonprofit business associations as well as social media and marketing projects.

Lee Ann is married, with two children, two grandchildren, and three dogs. Her hobbies include antiquing, painting, sewing, and hiking.

Natalie Coca

Natalie seeks to deliver a personal and creative touch when handling client needs and believes that empathetic business fosters long and rewarding business relationships.

She has many skills: association management, marketing communications,  relationship building, creative writing,  planning, execution, grammar, email marketing, analytical skills, advertising. In addition, she is a Series 7 & 66 licensed professional.

As a former actor, her people skills and ability to read a room are incredibly useful for making new connections and delivering thoughtful yet targeted messaging that make people feel comfortable in stressful situations.

She is fully bilingual and can read, write, speak, and translate Spanish.

Rita Wood

Rita is a Certified Public Accountant who is passionate about the power of maintaining an organized, accurate and complete set of financial data to assist clients in strategic decision-making. 

Rita began her journey with a BS in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota and subsequently joined the General Accounting team of Contel / GTE / Verizon.  In the next 31 years, she moved through various accounting and finance departments, gathering in-depth hands-on experience in all accounting functions, managerial financial analysis, auditing (from the client’s perspective) and system implementation and testing of new / upgraded accounting software. 

Rita is methodical, disciplined and dedicated to providing structure and accuracy so that clients have the best accounting / finance support possible to achieve their goals.
